Ah yes, Black mage. The simple pleasure of lighting things on fire. Nothing is more human in nature and nothing more important in our evolution. IF only they had Firaga back then. But I digress, when I last left you all I had BLM at 30. Bacisally I liked warp and escape and say no other reasons to level black because I had all the basic transportation spells. Then I looked around hte internets and saw that BLM is a sub for many jobs. And seeing as how I dont' really have a main job yet I supposed it would be good ot get subs out of the way. I had the stupid gear from WHM anyways. Black mage leveling just kinda blurr in with everythign else your doing. With me I kinda listen to a Podcast, listen to music, read blogs, do homework, and chat with people while leveling mage jobs.
So in short I don't remember what happened BLM 31-34. I do remember I heard so really funny stuff on the podcast and that I heard so god awful music on the radio. Ta-da >.>
Now BLM 35-36 was one long, drawn out party. God damn it was ridiculous. Two BLMS, a THF, NIN, Something, and a WAR. We had a pwr lvl...I think. Frohike is still right about Power Levelers when your Whitemage by the way.
I'll be honest, I fell asleep in this party, I think I fell asleep when I level'd...The NIN's tell chimes are what kept me awake. I think the party was in Altepa Desert....one of the deserts. Dhamles were involved.
But BLM is done for now. I do remember that I level'd Monk for my WAR too...at some point. More on that later!

When last I left you all I was 30 WAR and mentioned that I got WAR to about 40 now. Now I will attempt to weave the story about how I got to this level. I jumped from the Jungles right to the Citadel thanks to some brave Party leaders. This was before I sought advice from Froh so I was still single Axe with a shield tanking. This was also far from a decent Axe that didn't cost me 200K-ish. Yea, noob WAR, look out. The important thing to me at the time as the fact that I had Kamphf gear. My legs and Feet but it was better than Eisen all around. I'll explain how a noob afforded Kamphf gear like this: I owe another LS member another favor, this time a little mischievous Tarutaru. Bad idea on my part, I'll probably end up dying a couple of times helping her.
Oh well I'm shiny now. Everything is going great. For a really long time. I hit 31 and then 32. I run back to town to get a Warrior's Axe. Along the way I find that I can take out a Raptor all by myself :D Being a WHM so long I hardly knew the feeling of standing my ground and fighting something. And winning! :D

Blah. I tank like a pro. The black mage could mana burst, the mob would turn around, I'd just have to boost and I'd have the mobs attention again. Like a Pro. I even had a hate fight with a Ninja but we were 35-ish so it's not a fair evaluation of Ninja Vs. Warrior but still: HE CHEATED! Elemental wheel >.> and he knew I couldn't let him die so he for went shadows. HE CHEATED. enough said.

I didn't need to provoke anymore. I just had to hit the damn thing and it would keep it's eye on me. Even with Defender, I just have to put one provoke and Boost and keep whacking. Ninja sub be damned!
After all that I took a break and farmed with my new Toy(THANK YOU DOC!) that was the funnest thing I've done in a long time. After the fund were gathered I planned to level blm to sub level at least.

I'm a big WAR now!

To explain;
I've hit WAR level 30. So I can equip a lot of new nice things. Eisen/Kapmf gear is the first to come to mind. Which is a set that will probably last me until level 40 on WAR if I take it that far. I just might :P And as for the argument that the Eisen NOR the Kamphf gear can carry you until 40, I offer this: The Silver chain set provides about 5 points more DEF and it seems to me the only people arguing for the level 36 upgrade to Silver chain are either goldcrafters or associated with gold crafters. That and the stats provided by the Eisen/kamphf gear is invaluable at lvls where you fight Mandies who know Kung Fu. SO THERE. EISEN/KAMPHF FOR ME 'TILLZ 40. :P
That is a joke. I will want to get a kinda of DD WAR set up too but right now I'm focusing on Tanking. Mostly because Ninjas can't tank beautifully right now >.> So I'll have to duo tank with them mostly. Plus I take about 10 dmg from Kung Fu Mandies right now. I am happy with that ^_^
Trust me I know NIN's who could get hate so well I could Banishaga I, II, Firaga, and then Cure VI them. The Mob wouldn't budge, that stuff is bananas.
During the tread to get to 30 I was a very lucky SOB. I got great parties. The first was a duo 'party' with a BLU taru, named Eclypse(I think >.>).
Now a lot of people say BLU is broken. I have to agree to a degree. This guy was getting Kung Fu Mandies Down to about 12% on his own. Then dying, horribly. I would think the principle of Blue mage is that you can kill things fast; YAY! And you wear mage armor so you can Die fast; NOUH! End Rant.
Awesome dude and damn nice. He gave me two free T. Tacos. Tacos in FFXI are full of WIN. That is another topic though. We are killing things pretty damn fast. 400 XP in 10 minuets. Then rest for another one. See the only thing he really needed me for was to tank and make sure he survives that last 12% of Kung Fu. Which I did well. Especial while with the powers of the tacos, I love those things. After I leveled we found a Monk. I like Monk and monks, they are a simple and enjoyable job, punching things in the face DOES NOT GET OLD. :P My Linkshell generally has about three monks on it at all times. The Monk was also a Taru named Strikerx...of the same character model as Eclypse. It got weird. Either way we are dealing out the damage. 500 xp in about 10 mins. Barely needed the BLU to rest. I also have to thank Square Enix for the patch with signet, I love not losing TP while resting. And the HP resting bonus and the smaller party bonus. Makes the game easier on everyone but not a cake walk. Which this game has never been. XD It got to an impossible hour and we broke pt. I think everyone leveled. I know I did.
Then it was to my second string of good luck. A full pt! Where I got to Tank! YES! And no NIN! YESH! I like tanking and I don't like a NIN butting in and taking my fun away, okay? I'm weird, just look at the post title. Me and this Hume female were SUPPOSED to duo tank but I saw no need to let her get knocked in the face by a Mandy.

Aniwaze, the Black mage is having fun, everyone is staying alive and XP is flowing. Yay right? Nay, I was puller and if I'm a bad puller on Thief then imagine me on WAR. I was honestly pretty slow. and the zone was packed with other people. I love people. One of which had stolen one of my best in game friend to power level them >:{D
I didn't like them very much, plus they were slow. I'd see them either resting or killing one Mandy while I was going for seconds or thirds. Thank fully my Buddy, who is a manthra and a GI; let's call him Doc, would come to my aid when I shouted in LS for assistance. To my credit, I didn't die on a pull, I never pulled a link, but I did bring a smithy around. Yea yea, THE goblin smithy. I had to call in Doc for that one. Entirely my bad. Either way I lvled again. 29! But I hadn't packed my Eisen/Kamphf gear, oh wells. I busted out of that party and did a couple of real life things. I think I angered the black mage. >.>
Either way when I get back and through up my "Looking For Group" flag I get another invite. YAY! I'm not puller? YAY! But I'm secondary tank, to a NIN. Hmph. I also have to share tanking rights with a SAM who uses Third eye and then began to get hammered. While I still was getting hit for about 10 DMG each hit with Defense food. Yea, I pack defense food/ >.> After I ding in that party we disbanded about two fights later. Yay? Oh well I'm 30 and so are they. Then I'm off to unlock some jobs that I haven't before. Namely SAM, DRK, and PLD but that is another post for another day/night. Either way I come back.

A lil' white magic sparkle.

Since my Last Post things have gotten pretty heavy. Did some leveling, maybe too much leveling. But that is to be decided later.


First I get a random invite. It was from Jing, a dude I never met but he urgently needed a whm. and He was willing to take my gimp ass, seriously I hate that job now. I don't have any tele's other than Holla, I'm still using Seer's gear. I have all the cured and buffs though, I ain't that bad. So I bust my ass to get to Crawler's Nest and then to find my way through Crawler's Nest. And the Grind begins or as some call it I get on the XP treadmill. and after abotu and hour everyone in Pt lvl. YAY! Even me O_O
Then another hour later half the party dies from a freaking fly with Sphere spamming. I hate WHM. The paladin tank delvls, I feel horrible. But just like a Tank he gets back up. Shit happens, Eat cheese. I'm sorry I can't give him credit but I think his name was Ulthawe. Aniwaze later he redings and everything is happy time. DD's are getting haste, tanks are getting regen, cures here and there. I ain't getting hate. But the poor blm is...but because of our melees he doesn't go down. Damn fine job they did. From there on it's a blur. It was late at night and I was trying to talk in Ls and cure. =X Whm is boring...I ain't lying. So the PT goes down, my reraise wares off. Pt breaks in jueno after they find out I can't Tele-altep. I'm gimp, I admitted it. Some how I also undinged. and I didn't care.
Then it was the Adventures of Criran and Tog in Delkfutt's tower thingy. I went as my gimp 41 WHM while Crir wetn as his pimped out 42 NIN. He has some seriously good gear for that thing. We basically ran up and down the tower and then seated ourselves on the upper floor. And Camped Mimas and Enkeldos and key hunted. Mimas popped more times than I remember and we only got one Huge Moth Axe from him, asshole. I lotted on it and got it, I was determined to get Criran something considering that the guy was low on funds and I was running around with 100K+. We got one key on our owns and popped it and got a weird ax that I also wanted >.> But Criran got it ever though I was willing to pay for it right there. After about 5K of gil and 3K XP Criran called a friend out to help. Sirsmokesalot. I kid you not. He was a lvl 60 NIN who helped us kill our one and only Enkeldos, me and Criran could of took him. :P After that we broke Pt. and Criran went back to hunting. I think he really wants a Huge Moth Axe >.> I also reding there with Criran, my LS March Member, AKA most helpful member of March. A Pretty high Honor in my book. Too bad Pearlsacks aren't eligible :P
